Work Description:
This research project develops a mathematical and computational model to recommend academic advisors for graduate programs, using data from the Lattes Platform (a comprehensive academic database in Brazil that provides detailed information on researchers publications, academic achievements, and professional activities). The model combines mathematical methods with data science techniques to analyze variables such as academic production, mentoring experience, and reputation. The approach also includes the integration of an intelligent chatbot that interacts with students, gathering their preferences and specific needs to personalize advisor recommendations. This fusion of mathematical modeling, artificial intelligence, and recommendation systems aims to increase the accuracy and efficiency of the advisor selection process, contributing to the academic success of students.
